Formed in September 2002, OneRoomHouse are a mixed bag of musical talent. With influences such as Belle & Sebastian, R.E.M, Athlete and rock legends U2, defining the music of the band is not an easy task. "We don't want to be pigeon holed as 'middle of the road' or as a rock band" explains front man Paul Nixon, "we want to create music that we enjoy, that has come from the heart, not something that has been done a thousand times before." Luke Phillips first picked up a bass approximately 6 months prior to joining the band, leaving drummer Elly Leake, the only band member who could honestly carry the title of 'musician'. However, much like a winning team from 'Scrapheap Challenge', when the four of them come together, there is something unique, something beautiful and something completely absorbing about what is created. Currently they are preparing for a summer tour of both northern and southern areas of Ireland. But afterwards...the world awaits...
